The Summerfest Event ran from 25th July to 16th August 2021. The main event was to split the player group into three teams, Red, Green, and Blue. There was a ranking board showing the amount of points for each team, with a visual display of 0 to 100%. Each hour an area in the Story Missions would be chosen, and every time a player completed that mission points would be awarded to the player and the team. More difficult missions gave more points. There was also a reward promoted for the winning team. Initially players thought that it was a race to 100%, however, as the number reached 100%, the mini-game continued, with just the percentage increasing. This caused confusion and upset players as a result.
In it players could obtain three different types of boxes, Summer Box I, Summer Box II, and Summer Box III. Each box was obtainable after the player reached a certain amount of points.
Summer Box I was obtainable after reaching 2,500 points and having obtained at least 20% progression in the team ranking.
Summer Box II was obtainable after reaching 15,000 points.
Summer Box III was obtainable after reaching 50,000 points.
Players could only win a single copy of each Summer Box. These boxes could be opened by "evolving" them after the end of the event. Summer Boxes and their resultant evolution units are all retired and tradable units now.
Fireworks
Also, in the Summerfest event, players could receive a Super Fire Works during completing story, infinite or farm games, and use it (launch into the air) to get a random event unit. Super Fire Works can be obtained with a 1/1000 chance every time the player kills an enemy in any match. Using it granted you one of the units with certain chances. Super Fire Works could also be bought from the Travelling Merchant for 2,0002,000. The reward for launching a Super Fire Works was a Summer Skins for units, Red Head or Water Goddess (who was limited to 5,000 units). The Super Fire Works can be leveled up even though it is unplayable.

Travelling Merchant
The Travelling Merchant was an NPC (Non-Player Character) that you could trade Tokens (obtained rarely by killing an enemy) and Gems for units and other things in the lobby. He spawns randomly and despawns around 15 minutes after spawning.
He sold a Summer Pack for 270 that never got randomized and contained a summer skin for All Might and Broly, and a limited-time Surfer Mount with an exclusive Beach ball Emote.
He also sold a skin for The Curse One SUMMER for 190 Tokens, Super Fire Works for 2,0002,000 and an EXP III unit that could be obtained for 15.
Additional Info:
- When the Travelling Merchant was present, he was sitting casually with his hands on the bench with no animations.
- At most times, the backpack shown with the Travelling Merchant usually stays.
- When you enter the Travelling Merchant’s square when he isn’t in server, the game would say: “Nobody is here..... Maybe someone will arrive soon?”
- When the Traveling Merchant spawned, the game would say: "The Travelling Merchant has arrived!”
- The best way to find the Merchant was to server-hop.
- He appeared for 15 minutes randomly at any time. Waiting on a private server and waiting on a public server made no difference.
